Life N Balance — A Chronic Care Initiative
Funded through the Florida Department of Health
Life N Balance is a chronic disease prevention and self-management program designed to help adults take greater control of their health. The program serves adults age 18 and older, including adults age 55 and older, who have been diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol or who are at elevated risk of developing a chronic disease.
Through health education, screenings, community health worker support, wellness coaching, nutrition education, physical-activity guidance, individualized health planning, and connections to healthcare and community resources, participants receive practical assistance for improving their health and managing chronic conditions more effectively.
FEC Youth Community Services
Reading & Math Tutoring, Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy, and Youth Violence Prevention — FEC’s youth programs for Central Florida.
Reading & Math Tutoring
Individualized and small-group academic support for students in grades 3–12 who are struggling in reading or mathematics.
Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy
Hands-on instruction in money management, entrepreneurship, workplace readiness, and career exploration for youth. Funded by the Orange County Citizens’ Commission for Children.
Youth Violence Prevention
Mentoring, life skills, and positive youth development delivered with trusted community partners to reduce youth violence.
Community Partnerships
A network of community-based organizations extending our reach through mentoring, arts, fitness, and enrichment services.

The Florida Economic Consortium, Inc. (FEC) is dedicated to empowering youth and families through a comprehensive range of direct, self-sufficiency social services. From academic tutoring and youth violence prevention to financial literacy and chronic disease self-management, every program we deliver is designed with one goal: helping the people we serve become independent, healthy, and successful.
Rooted in Central Florida
FEC serves youth and families across Central Florida, with focused investment in Orange County neighborhoods — including the Concentrated Community Initiative (CCI) and Targeted Community Initiative (TCI) Sector 1 (ZIP Code 32703) and East Orange County. Our programs are funded through partners including the Orange County Citizens’ Commission for Children and the Florida Department of Health.
